While the Columbia River Yacht Club is the closest to Fleming Island, it is difficult to find a car rental there. But a local friend did. A member of the Columbia River Yacht Club made a trip to Lewiston, where the crew of Venture could get the information they needed to make the voyage as smooth as possible. The Columbia River Yacht Club's member reassured the Venture crew, noting the high winds and river currents, Fleming's film was of comparable quality to the films about the Aleutian Islands.
The historic landmark is the home of Pardon C. Greene, the founder of Rhode Island's first newspaper, P.C. Greene and Company. The businessman was an influential member of the city's council and later served as mayor for a brief period of time. The park is located near the historic Tabasco Brand Factory, which is open to the public for tours. While he lived on the island for eight years, he continued to campaign for development of the city. Eventually, he died in 1838.

The historical significance of the historic house is undisputed. During the Depression, Hemingway lived on Key West. In his novel, To Have Not, he used this city as his setting. The house houses six or seven-toed polydactyl cats, descended from Snowball, his original pet. Although the cats are now exempted from the U.S. The Department of Agriculture, the Key West City Commission has decided to leave them alone.  Up next
