Clay County Fairgrounds

The Clay County Fairgrounds are one of the oldest fairgrounds in Florida, if not the oldest. It is located at 2497 FL-16, Green Cove Springs, FL 32043. The fair was first held in 1867 at what is now called Fleming Island. The fair has grown and changed over the years, but its roots are still there. Today, it’s a major attraction in Fleming Island with various attractions for visitors of all ages. Even this remote part of Clay County has plenty to offer vacationers. This popular attraction, which houses a once-famous dance hall and a fun, child-friendly museum, has been celebrating its 75th anniversary in 2017. It was opened in 1918 as the Tropical Tap Dance Hall with just a few dozen dancing couples. In its first decade, it welcomed more than a thousand dancers and was the largest indoor dancehall in the world. In 1924, the Hall was renamed to its present name and the number of couples dancing was increased to one thousand. After the Great Depression, the number of dancers declined, but the popularity of Acapulco surfing and dancing in the United States made the Hall a gathering place for tourists and an important part of the Acapulco experience.

In part to support its hugely popular animal exhibits, the museum is hosting “Pigs in a Blanket'' on February 9, 2018. For three continuous days, visitors will be able to sleep under aumboics and tour a variety of exhibits dedicated to animals from every major ecosystem on earth, from the rainforest to the galleria.

One of the highlights of any rotation at the golf course is a challenge putt-putt course. The Putt-Putt Golf Club features a challenge putt-putt layout that has been registered as the world’s tallest putt-putt golf course. The

The best time to visit Florida is in the spring, summer, and fall because of the weather (and because you have lots of time to sit on the front porch and drink lemonade). If you’re looking for more than just sun, water, and fun in the sun, visit in the winter and early spring, as the snow is melting quickly in the Florida heat.

To have a great Florida vacation, you need to be okay with consistent weather throughout the year. The average high temperature in July is around 90 degrees, and the average low is around 56 degrees. If you want to avoid the cold and wet, choose a winter vacation.

If you’re looking for a fun, family-friendly vacation in a hot-spot region of the United States, take a look at what’s happening at the Clay County Fairgrounds. There are a variety of attractions for all ages, from fun kids’ activities to history, wildlife, and cuisine. If you like animals, check out the Ringling Museum of Particular Animals, which has a large collection of exotic animals from all over the world. If you like golf, try the Putt-Putt course. And if you like to eat art, try the Art of the Market Stall at the Art and Antiques Fair. If you’re looking for a great time in an amazing place, the Clay County Fairgrounds is the place to be.
