MARIA RAFAEL, APRN

Maria is an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) and Board Certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C). Maria has been working in the healthcare field since 2003 in many different roles. She has earned a Bachelor of Science in Community Health from the University of North Florida and worked as a case manager for a local nonprofit organization for 5 years. She returned to school in 2007 to Jacksonville University to achieve her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and in 2018, received her Master of Science in Nursing for Family Nurse Practitioner. She has 9 years of nursing experience as a Registered Nurse at Saint Vincent’s Medical Center and received her certification as a Progressive Care Certified Nurse.

During her clinical experience with Dr. Wallace, she recognized that the field of aesthetic medicine was ultimately where she wanted to work as an ARNP. Dr. Wallace took Maria under his wing and has entrusted her with most of our injectable patients.

Maria is a girl’s girl and we love having her on the team! She loves all things beauty and enjoys giving our patients their confidence back through skincare and non-surgical options. She has a warm and sweet personality and is complimented on her gentle technique for injection by all our patients.

When Maria is not working, she spends time with her husband, family, including her nieces and nephew. She loves photography, yoga, sunrises, and the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Maria is a member of American Association of Nurse Practitioners, Northeast Florida Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioners, American Association of Critical Care Nursing, and Sigma Theta Tau International.
